GotaRepeat (Ableton Live 10-11-12)
After many requests i share with you my master rack for ableton i use during my livesets for just a symbolic price of 4.20euro 👽
It consists in 5 sections, everything native from ableton, no need of third party plugins.
- Gotagrain, ableton's grain delay to map the pitch shift and the drywet.
- Gotakontrol, the main beat repeat engine for manual controls
- Gotakeys, 9 different combinations of beatrepeats
- Gotafilters, 2 macros for Hpf and Lpf
- Three16, a beatrepeat exclusively to create short 3/16th loops at the end of the chain
You can map the "gotakeys" section with the numbers from 1 to 9 of your keyboard so to activate a different kind of beatrepeat every time you click on a different number key.
Additionally you can control the whole thing with a midi controller, I personally use an old school Korg NanoKontrol as follows:
(((EDIT: The mapping can't be saved inside the preset, but can be saved in a project. So i uploaded an empty project with Gotarepeat on the master channel with my mapping ready to use. All the mapping is set to the second scene of my nanokontrol)))
1) "Korg" Section
Trigger1: On/Off
Fader1: Grid (1/4 ; 1/48)
Fader2: Intervals (1/2 ; 1/16)
Fader3: Variation (0 ; 4)
Knob1: Decay (0 ; 83.5%)
2) "Filters" Section
Trigger2: On/Off HPF (you must open the module to find it)
Knob2: HPF Macro
Trigger3: On/Off LPF (same)
Knob3: LPF Macro
3) "Grain Delay" Section
Trigger5: On/Off (turn on only with DryWet at 0)
Fader5: Dry/Wet (0 ; 100)
Knob5: Pitch (-36 ; 12)
4) "Three16" Section
Trigger9: On/Off
5) All the "gotakeys" on every second trigger of the midicontrol (instead of the keyboard's keys)
I hope i explained myself clearly enough, unfortunately all the mapping can not be saved inside the rack so we have to do it manually.
